Quickstart

Connect a wallet, add Robinhood Chain, sign in, pick a privacy mode and send your first message.

On this page

You need a wallet and some credits. You don't need an account, an email address or gas to sign in.

1. Get a wallet#

WhereWhat works
Desktop browserAny browser-extension wallet that announces itself to websites (EIP-6963), such as MetaMask, Rabby, OKX Wallet, Phantom or the Coinbase Wallet extension. Older extensions that only expose window.ethereum also work.
Coinbase WalletSupported with a regular account (EOA), not a Coinbase smart wallet.
PhoneOpen tacita.chat in your mobile wallet's built-in browser, for example MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet or Trust Wallet. On a phone browser without a wallet, Tacita offers links that reopen the page inside your wallet app.

Smart-contract wallets (Safe, smart accounts) can sign in, because ERC-1271 and ERC-6492 signatures are verified. However, they may not produce a stable key for your encrypted chat history, so your history may not reopen in a later session. A regular wallet (EOA) is the reliable choice. See Data handling.

2. Add Robinhood Chain#

The sign-in message names Robinhood Chain, so your wallet should have the network added. The app usually asks your wallet to add it or switch to it for you. To add it by hand, use these settings:

SettingValue
Network nameRobinhood Chain
RPC URLhttps://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com
Chain ID4663
Currency symbolETH
Block explorerhttps://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com

You don't need ETH to sign in. You need ETH on Robinhood Chain only to send transactions, such as topping up your Main balance or buying the Tacita token. Robinhood's own docs explain how to bridge funds to the chain.

3. Connect and sign in#

  1. Click Connect wallet and choose your wallet.
  2. Your wallet shows a sign-in message (SIWE, EIP-4361). Before you sign, check two things:
    • The page you're on is https://tacita.chat.
    • The message begins tacita.chat wants you to sign in with your Ethereum account.
  3. Sign. Signing is free. It is not a transaction, and it can't move your funds.

Signing in proves the wallet is yours, and it's what lets you spend credits on chat, images and video. You now have a session that lasts 24 hours and holds only your wallet address. When it expires, sign in again.

The app may ask for one more signature to unlock your encrypted chat history. That's also free, and the key it produces never leaves your browser.

4. Get credits#

Usage is paid for with credits. Credits are dollars, and you pay only for what you use.

  • Main balance. Top up with one plain transfer of USDG or ETH from your wallet to the Tacita treasury on Robinhood Chain. The transfer needs no sign-in, approval or signature. The amount goes to the Main balance of the wallet you send from after 30 confirmations, usually within seconds. The app submits the transaction for you, or you can paste its hash. Your Main balance never expires and opens every model in both modes, including images and video. See Top up.
  • Bonus balance. If you hold the Tacita token, your tier gives you $0.10 to $1.00 of free daily credits. The Bonus is spent first and renewed every day at 00:00 UTC, with no rollover.

5. Pick a mode#

ModeUse it when
AnonymousYou want any model, including Claude, GPT, image and video models. The model provider sees your prompt but not who you are.
TEEThe content itself is sensitive. Your browser encrypts each message so that only an attested enclave can read it.

Both modes and every model are open to anyone with credits. Privacy modes explains the difference in detail.

6. Pick a model#

Start with a preset:

  • Fast: quick answers.
  • Smart: the everyday choice.
  • Top: the strongest model in the mode. In TEE mode, the strongest one whose attestation currently verifies.
  • Uncensored: fewer refusals.
  • Vision: understands images. Anonymous mode only, because TEE mode is text only.

All models opens the full list. See Models.

In TEE mode, look for the Verified badge. It appears only when the enclave's attestation checks out in your browser. Some models don't verify at the moment. See Attestation.

7. Ask#

Type and send. The answer streams in, and you're charged for actual usage. In TEE mode that's exactly the model's official list price. Anonymous mode runs on a secondary compute market: prices are typically below each model's official list price, and every request is routed to the lowest available price for that model first. You're billed the actual price the request was served at, and never more than the official list price. Images and video are charged the listed price. The header shows your Bonus and Main balances. Charges come from your Bonus balance first, then your Main balance.

If a request is refused for lack of credits, you can lower the answer length, pick another model, top up, or wait for the daily reset.

If something goes wrong#

What you seeWhat to do
Wrong networkSwitch your wallet to Robinhood Chain (chain ID 4663).
Signature rejected or sign-in failsTry again. A sign-in message is valid for a few minutes and works only once.
"Session expired"Sessions last 24 hours. Sign in again.
You just bought tokens but your tier is 0Tiers use your lowest balance over the last 24 hours. A new purchase counts from the first full hour boundary 24 hours after it lands. See Tiers. Your Main balance works in the meantime.
Tier shows 0 and "pending"The chain history couldn't be read. Retry in a minute.
"Not enough credits"The request sets aside its maximum possible cost up front. See Credits.
A model is "unavailable"The model can't be served right now. You weren't charged. Pick another model.
